About Joel Rappelfeld's Roll America and
Kids On Wheels In-Line Skating School
Joel Rappelfeld is the author of "The Complete InLine Skater" published by St. Martin's Press (now sold in four languages) and is featured in the "Get Started in Blading Video". As a teacher he has demonstrated the art of safe skating technique to thousands of students through group and private classes, and currently works with over 50 NYC schools in his Kids on Wheels and Kids Action Sports after school skating program.

My philosophy since 1989 has been to teach you everything you need to know to be able to skate with comfort after the first class. I don't believe in the "lifetime lesson plan" (unless you want to just give the instructor your hard earned money forever).
RollAmerica has both group and private lessons for beginner to advanced, adults and children. The two hour group classes primarily take place in Manhattan, on weekends as well as in the evenings during the mid-week.

THE HISTORY
KIDS ON WHEELS:
RollAmerica and Kids on Wheels InLine Skating School started rolling in 1989. As New York’s first inline skate school, we offered open classes to adults and children. When the demand grew, we expanded to private and public schools. Now, nearly 2 decades later, we are happily teaching students of all ages at nearly 50 schools and summer camps in the tri-state area. The program offers progressive classes from beginner to advanced, as well as a terrific hockey program.
KIDS ACTION SPORTS:
Since the students enjoyed our coaches and the design of the program so much, the Kids Action Sports School was a natural progression. The weekly after school classes offers sport specific and multi-sport programs including, soccer, baseball, tennis and football to name a few.
